Standing alone on a hillside overlooking stunning views, Hillgrove was built in 1878 by original settlers William and Martha Burdett from stone quarried on the property.

Now beautifully restored and sympathetically furnished with early Australian huon pine antique furniture, Hillgrove is made up of two wings – north and south – both of which are fully self-contained.

The south wing provides a luxurious, spacious yet intimate retreat for just two people. This wing comprises a bedroom with queen-size bed and reverse cycle air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with separate shower and double spa bath, a cosy sitting room with open wood fire, a large eat-in kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher, and another sitting room with a slow combustion wood heater, a large comfortable leather chesterfield and picture window which overlooks the views. In fact, there are lovely views from every window in the house.

If accommodation for four friends travelling together is required, then the adjoining north wing of the house is also available. This, too, has a bedroom with queen-sized bed and reverse cycle air conditioning, and a bathroom with separate shower and double spa bath, along with a small kitchenette and laundry facilities.
